Ludington, MI: The pennies have been tallied from Jamesport Brewing Company’s January fundraising efforts and the downtown Ludington brewpub was able to hand over $2528.44 to the Mason County nonprofit The Childhood Cancer Campaign. This is a combined total from the inaugural Winter Volleyball Tournament co-sponsored by Safe Harbor Credit Union and the brewpub’s January Round Up campaign.
The volleyball tournament, held Saturday, January 11th, drew 9 teams out into JBC’s snow-filled backyard for a sunny day filled with fun competition. A big thanks is owed to Frances Knizacky and the Ludington Beach Volleyball crew for their help in making this first event a success.
This will be an annual event, so get your team together for next January!
Jamesport’s monthly community giving program allows guests to round up their checks to the next dollar. Jamesport matches every penny that their guests donate. Each month, a new area organization is chosen to receive the donation.
“Last year, we gave $12,000 from the round up campaign alone; over $18,000 since its conception in 2023.” stated Jen Tooman, JBC’s Brewery & Brand Manager. “It’s been a great way to introduce our guests to area non profit organizations and support our community.”
JBC focuses their giving toward organizations that support area families, their furry companions (we love dogs!), and preserving Ludington’s history.
